Anabella Hotel in Anaheim/Disneyland – Hotel Review

Anabella Hotel in Anaheim-Disneyland - Hotel Review 1

There are a zillion hotels near Disneyland in Anaheim and a billion different opinions about which one you should stay in. Here’s my 2 cents on one of the fantastic Anaheim hotels near Disneyland.

We stayed at the Anabella Hotel in Anaheim, and I would recommend it to anyone! Please note, this is the only Disneyland area hotel I’ve stayed in, but I was very pleased with the Anabella Hotel.

First off, the location of the Anabella is great. Many hotels say they are within walking distance to Disneyland, but “walking distance” can mean many things to many people. It took our family, with two little girls ages 6 and 4, about 5 to 7 minutes to go from our hotel into Disneyland. I really liked that the sidewalks were nice and wide and there was a decent median to separate the sidewalk from the street, because our busy little bees were often running ahead and circling back…on the way to the park, not the way home. We cut through the Disney Grand Californian. I will admit, after a long day at the park, even 5 to 7 minutes seems like a l-o-n-g  walk.

The Anabella Hotel has 14 different room configurations. Our room was pretty basic with two queen beds and a nice tile bathroom. Our girls were super impressed. The first thing they said was, “Mom! Dad! Look! This room even has a toilet!” I don’t know what they were expecting! Honestly, when you’re headed to Disneyland, you won’t be spending much time in your hotel. The hotel property is enormous! We were close to the lobby and I heard from others if your room is near the back, it adds several minutes to the walk. Our room was on the first floor, tucked back in a short little hallway. At first, I didn’t like the location because our window looked out at a wall and we didn’t have much daylight. However, it worked great to get the girls to take a nap mid-day. Okay, I took a nap, too.

We actually got to Disneyland right when the park opened, ran around like crazy, then headed back to the room in the afternoon. We took a nap, had a little swim in the pool, then headed back. Sure, this left a little less time to enjoy the attractions, but I swear we were the only smiling family for miles!

Speaking of the pool, it’s a little on the small side, but you aren’t really there for the pool. There was a nice hot tub, adequate chairs, plenty of fresh towels, plus good pool side food and beverage service. It wasn’t anything to write home about, but it served its purpose well.

The price of the Anabella Hotel is on the lower end of moderate or the high end of cheap hotels near Disneyland. The cheapest room is right around $100 per night. We even found a deal that if we paid for 3 nights, we got one free! The price combined with the location make the Anabella Hotel a deal that can’t be beat!

While this isn’t the cheapest of the cheap hotels near Disneyland, it is a nice place with lots of amenities with a location that can’t be beat. If you are looking for hotels or motels near Disneyland, I highly recommend the Anabella Hotel!
