Coorg is a perfect honeymoon destination offering a truly romantic atmosphere to the newlyweds. Coorg tourism has something for outdoor enthusiasts too as there are plenty of interesting activities they can indulge in that includes golfing, angling, river rafting and trekking to name a few. Road that leads to Abbi falls comprises of twists & turns, steep ups & downs, passing through dense and green surroundings of coffee plantations. This is a great experience in itself and the beautiful and striking sight of Abbi falls is similar to an icing on the cake.

 

Mallalli Falls:

Located at foothills of Pushpagiri, Mallalli falls is one of the most gorgeous waterfalls in the region. Monsoon is an apt season to visit this fall when water rises very high & flows down with a gushing speed.

 

Mandalpatti:

It is a scenic viewpoint located at a distance of about 34 km from Madikeri. To reach this beautiful viewpoint, you will be passing through some of the most mesmerizing coffee plantations. This particular spot is about 600 meters high and provides picture perfect panoramic view of the region.

 

Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary:

This sanctuary is located at Somwarpet taluka. This sanctuary houses endangered & rare species of birds and hence is considered as one of most important bird areas in the world. Indian wild dog, Indian giant squirrel, wild pig, stripe necked mongoose, Indian hare and Asian elephant are some of the animal species that are found here.

 

Dubare Reserve Forest:

If you are a wildlife fanatic then this place is perfect for you. Major attractions of this reserve are Asiatic Elephants. Wildlife safaris, fishing, river rafting, elephant rides are some of activities that you can perform at Dubare reserve forest.
